Doncaster will be looking for a second home win when mid table Plymouth Albion visit Castle Park for the first time on Saturday. Albion were involved in an astonishing 41-52 home defeat to Newbury last week and Pieter Muller is expecting a backlash from that result this weekend. With arguably the biggest pack in the division, the West Countrymen will seek to dominate up front: Doncaster will look to win enough ball for their backs to run the game fast and wide. It promises to be an interesting clash of styles!
Muller welcomes back Glen Kenworthy and Ngalu Tau after injury, but has to do without the latest injured in Simon Grainger (out for 6 weeks after an ankle operation) and Dan Montagu (damaged finger) in the back row. Ryan Peacey and Oliver Cook step up. In the backs new signing John Cannon starts instead of Duncan Murray – and both Joe Van Den Berg and Michael Wood are on the bench if more firepower is needed.
Saturday is the Club’s first designated Family Fun Day and to encourage families a special £10 family ticket is available. The pre match entertainment will include the Armthorpe Brass Band, Singers & Dancers, Face Painting, Bouncy Castles etc etc.
Doncaster: J Boden, D Van Vuuren, B Hunt, J Cannon, L Nabaro, J Benson, C Harrison, R List, J Roddam, N Tau, G Kenworthy, D Cook, R Earnshaw, R Peacey, O Cook. Replacements: D Young, S Boden, T Davies, J Rule, L Lane, Jvan den Berg, M Wood.
Referee: Rowan Kitt (RFU).
