Doncaster Knights are delighted to announce that their talismanic flanker Simon Grainger has signed a two year extension to his contract that will keep him at Castle Park until May 2010. Simon, who is hugely popular with the fans, is currently injured but is now hoping to be fit to resume playing in early March.
The hard tackling Welshman began his full time career with Cardiff, and made his first team debut under a name familiar to us all, Lynn Howells. His energetic and committed performances in a Knights shirt have won him many fans and a contract extension.
“I’d play Saturday if it was my decision” was Grainger’s only comment when asked about his injury status.
John Lowe commented, “We expect to announce further contract extensions very shortly, with some very popular players".
