The Coaches carrying Team and Supporters arrived a while ago at Esher Rugby Club. The pitch has had a new drainage system for this season, and what was expected to be a boggy pitch has only a scattering of Sand.

11.00 Another Penalty Kick, this time awarded deeper into the Knights half sees David Slemen put Esher 6 points to nil in front.

18.00 Knights win lineout on their own 5m line, resulting in possesion and warding of penalty ending in a passage of possesion.

20.00 Knights win lineout on Esher 22m Line, resulting in long possesion and wing to wing play. ends with Bailey Knock on resulting in scrum with Esher put in. Results in Anthony Carter receiving ball deep and setting off another set of Knights attacking plays.

24.00 Knights win another lineout resulting in a strong drive. Tau almost over close range.

25.00 Penalty awarded, Cerith Rees puts it over close range for 3 points.

Esher Player Paul Barker has been yellow carded.

33.00 Esher's Matt Moore scores to the right of the post after a huge right wing run from Charlie Amesbury. Conversion by David Slemen.

Half time whistle sees Esher leading 13 points to 3. Knights have dominated position but lacked the finish.

42.00 Woodrow almost makes an instant impact with a run down the centre and a right diagnonal chip into the Try Area. Knights inches from finishing it off.

45.00 Patient build up play sees new boy Matt Cox go over for a try on his debut showing great determination to hit the ground first. Lynn Howells decision to debut the youngster seems to have been a good tactical decision.

46.00 Woodrow assured with the boot as he puts the ball between the sticks to make the score 13 10 to Esher.

58.00 Woodrow converts penalty to put points on the board.

63.00 Richard List blast over for a try after coming on for Toma Toke, Conversion by Mark woodrow to put the Knights into the lead.

67.00. Glen Kenworthy dominates yet another lineout and the resulting possesion sees Fa'aoso bounce the Esher defence out of his way to power over for a try. The resulting Conversion fro mMark Woodrow makes the score Esher 13 27 Knights.

76.00 David Slemen has scored for Esher making the score 18 to 27 (failed Conversion by David Slemen)

Full Time.

Score remains Esher 18 27 Doncaster. Esher attempted a big finish but seemed hampered by the loss of Slemen. Knights came closest to scoring again at the end.

The second half inclusion of Ben jones and Mark Woodrow seemed to spur the Knights into attacking action , tactical master stroke by Lynn Howells. Richard List added weight to the forward line at precisely the right time in the game.
