Doncaster play in National Division One, having won promotion to that level in April 2005. That promotion was the eighth in fifteen seasons of league rugby, a unique achievement in English rugby. Read more about the history and progress of the club in the "About us" section on this site.

In August 2006 the decision was made to rename as the DONCASTER KNIGHTS.
